Attend Our Live Event BRING IT ON

NOVEMBER 4TH LIVE EVENT

ABOUT THE EVENT

Our annual event, Bring It On North East will be taking place on Thursday 4th November this year. Following the success of our virtual programme in 2020 we’re building on this  to bring you a bigger, better and more interactive version. We already have over 6000 students signed up from across the North East!

This Year’s event is themed Net Zero North East – Engineering Your Future, and will coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).

ACTIVITIES ON THE DAY

Exciting Challenges

Here we reveal some of the challenge content we have planned for next month. Three of these challenges, developed by North East engineering companies, will be showcased on the day of the event and available for teachers to access in advance, and all others will be available to download from our website following the event.

Sustainability is high on everyone’s agenda these days and we want young people to look at the design of existing train stations and think of ways to make them more sustainable. Trouble-shooting and adaptability is a big part of many engineering roles and this challenge will help pupils to think critically whilst working on a real-life scenario.

Ultimately this is an online event with the aim of engaging and inspiring our North East students. We know how great our North East engineering companies are; let’s make sure we show the young people of our region that too!

Mechanically minded? We want young people to challenge their innovative minds to help create opportunities for energy recovery systems on machinery.

It’s fair to say that most of us now have smart technology as an integral part of our lives in the form of fitness trackers, smart speakers and video doorbells to name a few. We want pupils to design Internet of Things pathways that help to reduce power consumption.

We have a selection of live, on the day, challenges to make every brain tick and we’re excited to share our best virtual event yet with you all.

EXPLORE ENGINEERING

We will delve into our five Bring It On engineering sub-sectors throughout the day through informative videos that focus on each specific sector. They aim to generate excitement showcase career opportunities within the North East engineering industry. This content will be shared as part of the Bring It On 2021 Live Broadcast on Thursday 4th November.
